Garri Processing Plant (Combo)

The garri processing plant is a set of garri processing equipment used to produce garri from cassava tubers. It is made up of diligently selected models of equipment with various working and processing capacities available for users to choose from depending on their production requirements.

Process of Making Garri

The process of making garri from cassava tubers typically involves:

1. Cleaning and washing the cassava tubers.
2. Cassava peeling.
3. Grating cassava into mash/pulp.
4. Put the cassava mash into bags or tanks for fermentation.
5. Press to dewater to get cassava mash cake.
6. Breaking up the cakes and frying to get garri products.
7. Garri is sieving to get uniform fineness.

Garri Processing Plant Equipment

• Mechanical Cassava Peeler (2.5-3ton/hr.): The cassava peeler or peeling machine uses cutting-edge technology to peel cassava efficiently. It is more efficient than manual peeling, easily removes the skin of the cassava and has a good peeling rate.
• Mechanical Cassava Grater (2.5-3ton/hr.): It is used to grate and crush peeled and washed cassava into mash (starch slurry).
• Hydraulic Dewatering Press (250kg/batch)(150kg/batch): Otherwise known as dewatering machine or cassava presser. It uses the principle of hydraulic press to directly press and squeeze the water off bags of ground cassava to reduce or get rid of moisture.
• Automatic Garri fryer (50kg per hour): Makes the process of frying garri much easier and saves a lot of labour. During the running of this equipment, people don’t need to stand by to stir fry the garri; the rotary function does this efficiently.
• Garri Sifter (Continuous): A kind of special screening equipment used to sieve the final product of garri, starch, or cassava flour before it is packed for sale or consumption. It has high precision and efficiency.
